Pairing with a television set is accomplished using the app on the STB. Choose menu on the STB and navigate to settings > remote settings. The remote settings page should open. Choosing start will allow you to choose the type of television being paired. Follow onscreen instructions to pair remote with television.

Pair your Ruwido Bluetooth Slim Remote Control with the Set-top box (STB)

1. Press and hold buttons four (4) and six (6) on the remote for three seconds.
   • This deletes existing pairing information.
   • Red LED will flash four times when pairing has successfully cleared.

   

2. Press & hold the Play and On Demand buttons for three seconds.
   • This initiates Bluetooth pairing.
   • The red LED will continually flash to indicate remote is looking for a device to pair with.

   

3. Press the Bluetooth button on back of 5662 STB (section 1).
   • This initiates its Bluetooth pairing.
   • Blue Bluetooth light (section 4) will flash on front of STB.

   

   

4. When the blue light stops flashing, you have successfully paired your remote.

How to program your Bluetooth Slim remote to work with your TV

1. On your Bluetooth Slim remote, press menu.

   Through an app on your TV screen, you can set your Bluetooth Slim remote to control the volume and power of your TV. You will also be able to set the volume of the 4K receiver before pairing the remote to the TV.

2. Scroll to and select Settings.
3. Scroll to and select Remote control.
4. Scroll to and select Remote setup.
5. Scroll to and select Start setup.
6. Complete the receiver volume setup and select Next.
7. Once the app successfully detects the brand of your TV select Next. If your TV's brand is not detected, you'll need to select it on the TV screen. If you do not see your brand, select Other.
8. Once completed, the Pairing complete screen appears. Test the remote by pressing the mute button: if the TV is muted, select Done.
   • Try again: Select this if you are unable to mute the TV. The receiver will search for another pairing code to use.
   • Done: Select this if you can mute your TV. The pairing was successful.
   • Cancel: Select this to reset the remote to factory settings. The remote will only control the receiver.
   
9. Select Exit.
