Program Your Remote
- Getting Started
Make sure your TV is on before starting remote control setup.
- Remove battery cover.
- Insert 2 AA batteries, match the + and - marks.
- Replace battery cover.
Tip:
The LED will blink 5 times with each key press when batteries need replacement.
- Setup Method A: Popular Brands
Make sure the TV is on before starting remote control setup.
- Press and hold SETUP until LED blinks twice.
- Press the TV POWER key.
- Press and hold down the DIGIT key (1 through 0) for your TV brand.

If your brand does not appear here, try Method B or C to setup the remote to control your TV.
- Let go of the key when your TV turns off.
Notes:
- 2 blinks = Success
- 1 long blink = Failure
Setup is complete. If setup has failed, begin again at step one or try another setup method.
- Setup Method B: Code Search
Make sure the TV is on before starting remote control setup.
- Press and hold SETUP until LED blinks twice.
- Press the TV POWER key.
- Press and hold down the OK/SELECT key.
- Let go of the OK/SELECT key when the TV turns off.
Setup is complete. If setup has failed, begin again at step one or try another setup method.
- Setup Method C: Direct Code Entry
Make sure the TV is on before starting remote control setup.
- Press the TV POWER key.
- Press and hold SETUP until LED blinks twice.
- Enter the first TV code for your brand from the code list at the end of the URC6246 User Guide.
Note:
A URC6246 User Guide was also provided with your remote control.
- Press and hold TV POWER key to test TV control.
- If the TV turns off, setup is complete.
- If the TV does not turn off, repeat this process using the next code for your TV brand.
If setup has failed, begin again at step one or try another setup method.
