Speed call list programming instructions

Business multi-line phones

Note:

This pertains to telephone models: M5208, M5209, M5216, M5312, M5316.

To find your model number, there should be an Bell MTS label on the bottom of your telephone. All Bell MTS model numbers start with an 'M' followed by 4 numbers e.g. M1234.

SPEED CALL 8 or 10 – allows you to store 8 or 10 frequently called telephone numbers, by assigning a 1-digit code (0-7 or 9).

SPEED CALL 30, 50, or 70 – allows you to store and share 30, 50, or 70 frequently called telephone numbers by assigning a 2-digit code (00-29, 00-49 or 00-69). Speed Call 30, 50 or 70 lists can be shared, where one phone is designated as a controller to program the list, while other phones have access to use the list.

Programing a Speed Call Number

  1. Do not lift handset (no dial tone).
  2. Press SPEED CALL key (indicator flashes).
  3. Dial the 1- or 2-digit code + outside access code + 10-digit phone number.
  4. Press SPEED CALL key (indicator goes out).
  5. Repeat procedure for each number to be added or changed.

Using Speed Call

  1. Select a free line.
  2. Press SPEED CALL key.
  3. Dial 1- or 2-digit code.
Single line regular phones

This pertains to telephone models: M9417CW, M9316CW, M9216, M9009, M8009.

  1. Lift handset.
  2. Dial Speed Call Program access code:
    • *77 for Speed Call 8 or 10
    • *78 for Speed Call 30, 50 or 70
  3. Listen for special dial tone (4 quick beeps followed by dial tone).
  4. Dial the 1- or 2-digit code + outside access code + 10-digit phone number followed by the # key.
  5. Listen for confirmation tone (4 quick beeps followed by fast busy).
  6. Hang up.
  7. Repeat procedure for each phone number to be added or changed.

Deleting a Speed Call Number

  1. Lift handset.
  2. Dial Speed Call Program access code:
    • *77 for Speed Call -8 or -10
    • *78 for Speed Call -30 or -50 or -70
  3. Dial the assigned 1- or 2-digit code followed by the # key.
  4. Hang up.

Using Speed Call

  1. Lift handset.
  2. Dial * key plus 1- or 2-digit code + # key.
