Windows Mail Vista

Your Account Name (also known as User Name) looks like: name@yourcompany.ca.

Your Email Address looks like: name@yourcompany.ca.

You will use the Account Name to access mail sent to your Email Address.

  1. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts.

  2. Click the Add button.

  3. Select Email Account and click Next.

  4. Enter your full name. This will appear in the From field in the emails you send.

  5. Enter your Email Address. (For example: name@yourcompany.ca).

  6. Select POP3 for the Incoming email server type.

    Enter the following information:

    • Incoming mail server: mail.mtsbiz.net
    • Outgoing email server name: mail.mtsbiz.net

    Ensure the Outgoing server requires authentication box is checked, then click Next.

  7. Enter the following information:

    • Email username: You Account Name/Username (For example: name@yourcompany.ca).
    • Your Account password.

    Click Next.

  8. Ensure the Do not download my email at this time box is checked.

    Click Finish.

  9. Ensure the mail.mtsbiz.net email account is selected.

    Click Properties.

  10. Click on the Advanced tab.

    Ensure both This server requires a secure connection (SSL) boxes are checked.

    Enter the following information:

    • Outgoing mail (SMTP): 587
    • Incoming mail (POP3): 995

    Click OK.

  11. Click Close.
