Microsoft Outlook 2016

  1. Open Outlook 2016 and click the File tab.

    Open Outlook 2016 and click the Files tab.

  2. Click the Add Account button to start the setup wizard.

  3. Select Manual setup or additional server types and click the Next button to continue.

    Click POP or IMAP

  4. Click POP or IMAP.

  5. Click Next.

    Click Next

  6. Enter:
    • Your name: Name to be displayed on your outgoing emails.
    • Email address: Your @mymts.net (e.g. username @mymts.net).
    • Account type: IMAP
    • Incoming email server: mail.mymts.net
    • Outgoing (SMTP) email server: mail.mymts.net
    • Username: Your @mymts.net email address (e.g. username@mymts.net).
    • Password: Your email password.
  7. Click the More Settings button to update advanced settings.

    Click the Outgoing Server tab and ensure the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box is checked

  8. Click the Outgoing Server tab and ensure the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box is checked.

    Click the Advanced tab.

  9. Click the Advanced tab.

    Enter the following sever information.

  10. Enter:

    • Incoming server (IMAP): 993
      • Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
    • Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
      • Use the following type of encrypted connection: TLS

    Enter the following sever information.

  11. Click the OK button to save the changes.

    Click the OK button to save the changes.

  12. Click the Next button to exit the wizard.

    Click the Next button to exit the wizard.

  13. Click Close when the tests are complete.

    Click Close when the tests are complete

  14. Click Finish to exit the Wizard.

    Click Close when the tests are complete

Outlook 2016 will now retrieve your emails.

Click Close when the tests are complete
